Why I started Buck's
I founded Buck's because I could not find the trainer I wanted for my own dog.
When I went looking for help with the first really hard case I owned myself, I found the same two answers everywhere — positive-only specialists who would not touch reactivity, and "balanced" trainers whose definition of balanced was a heavy hand with no nuance. Neither was honest about what worked, and neither was honest about what they could not fix. I started Buck's to be the trainer I needed.
Eight years and thousands of cases later, the methodology has the same backbone but is much, much deeper. We take the cases other trainers turn away. We breed our own husky and German shepherd lines for service-dog work. We train and certify other trainers to the same standard our own team works to. And we run every program with an outcome guarantee — written down before drop-off so we both know what success looks like.
The reason it works is that the work is the work. Real cases, real time on the floor, real outcomes documented. The methodology is the methodology because it survives every dog. The team carries it because the team meets the same bar — whether they have been with us six months or six years.

Methodology architect
Nicole owns the balanced training methodology the entire Buck's network is trained on. Updates push from her to every operating territory.
Trainer-certification program lead
Every General Trainer and Specialty Trainer cert pathway runs through Nicole. She personally reviews every cohort application and runs the certifying assessment.
Bucks Pups breeding program lead
Sire / dam selection, genetic testing protocol, temperament evaluation milestones, placement decisions — Nicole owns the breeding side end-to-end. Husky + German shepherd, bred for service-dog work first.
The cases Nicole personally takes
Most day-to-day client work is handled by the team. Nicole personally takes the cases below and signs off on every program agreement that touches one of them.
